Nice Drippy Patterns on Paper
Look what I discovered? Ink - it drips and makes nice patterns. Ok, so I didn't discover it but it's actually neat being self taught. Everything feels as if I did discovered it. And how do you like this signature?

As you may have noticed, I've discovered Japanese illustration. And why 3? The first one is before color enhancement in Photoshop and the 2nd is after. Neither one is accurate. The markers ar much brighter then the scanned image but not as bright as the color enhanced one. And the 3rd one is the ghost image - the markers bleed especially through thin paper (this is 5x7 blank index card) and it makes an interesting image. Ok, now on to feeding the cats and getting to work. You have a real nice day now.
Ever feeling just yucky you know nothing really wrong just a blech mood. It doesn't help that there are 144 colors of prismcolor art markers and not one flesh color, really. And by flesh color I mean you know my flesh color not anyone else's in particular because there's bound to be someone's flesh color in those 144 markers. I'm going to bed now.

1st things 1st, in answer to those folks who have asked for pc's your snail addy stays with me I'm not a corporation here. You just become part of my own personal postcard project (you might even get a repeat if I have some extra stamps laying around).
I started this because I d r a w a l o t! I need an outlet and I like to think of these things going all over the world. The idea came from someone I trade ATCs with who mentioned Postcardx. People post their snail addys and other people send them cards without any obligation. I started sending those and also to my ATC buddies. And then I just opened it up to anyone who wanted one. There's no obligation here either - well maybe a little hint to send one to someone else. Spread the drawings around a little bit you know.
Another inspiration was Lenore Tawney, a sculptor and weaver who worked in the BIG scale but also sent collaged postcards to friends. It was amazing what that woman got through the post office. I do collage too but drawing is much quicker and less messy.
I use mostly prismacolor art markers (the absolute best I've tried them all), pitt artist pens, tombo brush pens and extra fine point sharpies. Also watercolor crayons (no water) - they have a smoother look then regular crayons. I was using Nexus pens to draw but the last few all leaked (very depressing) so I think I'm about to move on to the Radiograph which I just bought but haven't tried yet and I also use pigma micron pens.
Well now, it's 6:41am and I've got to feed the cats and get to work. See ya,
Ok, I know this is cheating but I really liked this drawing and wanted to use it so....What would I do if daring to be me?

And now for something alittle bit different. These are done on paint chips - those little samples you get at Home Depot. Only these aren't so little. They're 4x5 - perfect for postcards. How big is the series - I don't know. Maybe until the guy in the paint department realizes I'm not painting my house. I got the idea from Snailbooty a strangely talented artist.
And these are up for adoption. No charge, no obligation, no nothing. Except maybe to do one for someone else. I do them because it gives me an outlet and because it makes me feel good. And these guys will go places I'll never see - maybe even Kalamazoo. And foreign adoptions are ok too. I'd love to send one to Japan or China.
Don't really know how these will do in the postal system. They have a coating so the ink smears hence no color. I did spray them but we'll see. They should make it through as long as no one licks them but I'm not really up on the latest fatish. So, if you'd like to be part of janey's own personal mail art project, leave a note here and send me an email with your snail mail addy and it's yours. Sorry, no favorites- you get whatever I'm drawing at the moment. Live in the moment right?

I'm pretty sure these don't look anything like the real thing. Drawing real people is so hard. I guess it's back to practice, practice, ditto. And these make 18 - just 82 more go!

The only idea I could think of for this week's illo was Alice. You know, eat the cookie, take that little pill or maybe add a little color and you're someone totally different. So here's Alice before and after she reinvented herself.

Well Detlef said a little color and once started, my hand doesn't stop. And I think I'm in a manga mood tonight.
