I have a headache

Ok, that's it.  I'm selling this place and moving to an efficiency in Arkansas.  I started to do the laundry in my oh so small compact washing machine and why is there a puddle in front of it!  I was planning on redoing that closet so I can get a full size washer/dryer in it.  It was part of my big plan.  Kitchen this year, Next year the washer/dryer and then the bathrooms.  My big plan.  One thing at a time.  Now the washer is leaking.   I'm moving to Arkansas.  I've seen the infomercials.  Wanna buy a condo?  As is.

Here's the kitchen demolished.

Bye Bye Kitchen

Here's my kitchen pre demolition.  By demolition I mean gutting.  Tomorrow they start.  Everything comes off and out.  Today the contractor brought all his stuff and put up the bar for me.

Kitchenbefore2

The bar - it's a copper bar across my patio ceiling.  I have a green thumb, city kid and I can grow anything.  Thankfully my patio is big, runs across the whole side of the apt.  All the plants were hanging from hooks which would periodically come out and the pots would bonk me on head.  Hence, the bar across the patio.  It's copper because copper will age and get a nice patina.  I asked him to do it first because it would make me feel that something's been accomplished while I wait the 4-6 wks for the kitchen to be completed.  Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the mess when he takes the cabinets down.

That's the door to my storage closet.  On the left is my bedroom.  There are sliding glass doors along the length of the apt which is one of the reasons I bought it.  On a sunny day, I can sit in the living room and read a book without turning on a light.  This weekend I'm off to Home Depot for some plants.

Jack of Jack's Quilt

And here's Jack with his quilt.  LIttle Jack is my friend dbd's great nephew and I made a quilt for him.  I wrote up instructions for his quilt.  I told Jack to make sure he's mom let's him sit on it, play on it, drool on it, use it.  Because it's a memory quilt and you can't make memories if you don't use it.

Jackie

Here's what his mom wrote me "I want you to know we followed your instructions and put Jack on it the first night we received it.  He promptly threw up on it, which I take as a sign he liked it but it could have been the wine I drank that evening.  Either way, it's been initated.  We promise to use it until it looks like a cotton ball".

Maybe I should start planing another quilt.  I seriously doubt that Jack is going to be an only child.  Or if he is, well he'll need a back up quilt don't you think?

Excuse the language, screw watercolors, I like markers.  And I asked my friend dbd if I could say "screw it" in a public blog.  She said yes I just shouldn't say screw you.
