Just waiting for glass shelves and the light to be fixed in the kitchen. Yes, he's fixing it but not through the wall. No new photos till it's all done. I spent the weekend cleaning. All the bookcases had to be emptied, the floors washed, everything for the kitchen and closets put back. Tomorrow back to drawing and blog surfing and apologizing for not answering emails and comments and not visiting blogs.
This experience is life changing. I honestly don't think I'm made for renovation. But he's fixing the light. I was sure angry last night wasn't I? Here's some positive thoughts though - when all is done including the bathrooms, I have to paint. So the kitchen is that bright lime green. The dining room wall has 3 bookcases at different heights. That wall maybe blue. The entry wall has 3 small bookcases. It's where I have my own personal gallery. How about pink? Pale pink. This little shei pei pup has all the colors I want for the apt. I want to wake up and smile.
I asked dbd if I hang up now but feel like calling her back will she be on the phone? I hope so she said.
I'm on the phone with my friend dbd and she said ok, are you through yet? I said NO. That's like asking someone if they're through upchucking yet, can I let go of your head yet? So I'm typing this as she's washing dishes on the phone and I'm reading this to her. Thank goodness for walk around phones she said. OMG I have to laugh at all this but really I just can't allow myself to be taken advantage of. When that happens it just makes you feel belittled and my ego is battered enough and dbd just said do you mind if I gargle.
Ok, she said to tell you she has a sore throat, she doesn't just gargle without a reason. Did you ever listen to anyone gargling on the phone? It's not that bad but the spitting out part is just a bit much there. And she's asking me not to put that last part in but hey I feel empowered to do that so there. And now I'm going to go sleep.
Oh and she said l wonder how many comments you'll get on this one. And I said there haven't been that many comments since all I do lately is post about my kitchen even though I promise not to. I asked her if she wanted to say anything else and she said uh, uh.
he said he might not be here tomorrow. But I was so angry that I just left him a message to call me tonight or tomorrow and that I have to talk to him. I'm going to tell him that I want the light fixed but but it will cost him recommendations and how uncomfortable I would be using him for my bathroom fix. I know I shouldn't say anything until everything is done but I just can't let this go. And maybe I shouldn't be posting these notes but it does feel better to rant.
You don't have to read this because it's about my renovation. He wired the light under my cabinet to the main wire and it only works when the main light is on and now to fix it he's going to charge me $250. He said I told you that would happen. I said if you told me would I do it? $250 *&(*W&$# . Doesn't that sound familiar. He said the same thing when my phones didn't work. He makes mistakes and I have to pay for them. I'm having seriously not nice thoughts about this guy. I was hoping to use him for my bathroom renovations next year but I'm really angry now, really angry. And when this is done, I'm going to itemize every single thing he didn't do and it's coming off my final bill and I'm really angry at this guy right now!
For a few hundred dollars and not admitting his was wrong is going to cost this guy any recommendations and my bathroom renovation job. Damn I'm angry.

My life and the puppy. Still no finsihed kitchen or closets but I have high hopes. Meanwhile, I'm going to try to get back to drawing and posting every day,
And who are the models for all these puppy drawings? This really adorable book "pet the puppy". I found it in the used bookstore. A bit pricey at $16.95 but a real find at $5.00.
