New favorite - Little Shop of Horus

or what Jan does in her spare time.  Jan's already a very, very big favorite but now she's opened up a shop and she's goccoing like crazy.  I have one of her little moleskines and some cards and I love them.  I'm sure you would too if you bought one and they come all the way from very exotic  New South Wales, Australia.  Well it's exotic for me, I live in Florida.  And make sure you visit her blog and see the archives because she makes the most wonderful hand made journals.

My Muse Plus a Pooch

Zoe stays put longer then Gertie and she faces me when she's laying near me.  Gertie faces the other direction, as if she's camera shy.  Zoe's the ideal model.

And here's a poochie.  I'm sure that's a breed.  He's going to be in my Feb zine thingee.

And I just saw an ad for Kinko's - .49 cent color copies!  Now that definitely has possibilities.  Definitely.

There's a super walmart in...

.. Boyton.  I went there once.  I thought I had walked into Twin Peaks.  I couldn't breath, I walked out and ran to the car.  Now there's one opening in Deerfield.  Eeek.

Awww how was I...

supposed to know.  Well they sure look like toys.  Huh? What's a Manolo Blanco? What? Oh, what's Manolo Blahnik?

I'm working on the Feb zine.  So I'm drawing just not posting all of them, not enough time.  It' feels good to have a project with an end result.  I was looking for something different to do this year with my drawings, maybe this is it.

New Favorite - Mithi

Mithi is not only a good artist but a brave one.  She's changing careers from science to art.  And her blog chronicles her experiences in art school.  You should go for a visit, her work is really good and always interesting.  I wish I was as brave.

The 85th

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday - she's 85.  And some of that time was spent on creating and then pressing my hot buttons.  I really think parenthood should require a license.  But anyway, she's always asking me to pick up stuff from Office Depot so... I walked around the store filling up a file box of office supplies.  There's paper clips and pads and scotchtape and rubber bands and pens and different size envelopes and file folders and a business card holder thing and a small dry erase board.  And tomorrow we're going to her favorite restaurant - Road House Grill.  One thing my mom and I have in common - we're cheap dates, we don't eat much and the simpler the better and we like office supplies.

I just can't do it.

Just can't draw these guys anatomically correct.  It's a pg rated site, most of the time.Shame2_2
