Gert and me
I'm definitely having a hard time getting back into blogging everyday. This bathroom renovation has put my life in more disarray then the kitchen. I have the April zine all printed, copied and cut but I can't color it until the renovation is done. I need space to lay the drawings out. But every night I have to cover everything up with sheets because of the dust. There's going to be a break between tiling and the counter top delivery so hopefully I can get them all done then.
Here's Gertie sleeping by the keyboard. When I look at her I wonder if she knows Zoe's not here. Drawing cats and dogs and the odd rabbit or hamster is very relaxing and stress free. Though I know it can be boring to everyone else, it's not to me. There's no angst here, just lots of smiling when I draw.

These are great! You are the master of line drawing in my book - and the slight touches of color are perfect!

These are lovely! I love the washes of color too. Gertie looks like a love...

Thanks Casey though master just might be a stretch there. Gertie is a love, a love with a tendency to being a butterball too.

I would love a green pussycat. :-)
I think all Gertie knows is that she's getting Zoe's share of your love now.

I think your simple lines and sparse color drawings I like best.

I just love these drawings! I keep trying to sit down and draw RuPaw, but just can't do it without getting all teary. So I think all of your cat drawings are all the more special.
And the green just rocks.

Gert says meowwww. And green cats nice, rather squared shaped and very, very affectionate. Much better the green eggs and ham.
